There are episodes that feel like conversations you need to have; and this one with my dear friend Veronica Roberts was exactly that.
Veronica and I have known each other for years, and watching her evolve into the woman she is today has been nothing short of inspiring. In this episode, we dive into the raw, real, and often uncomfortable truths of healing; what it actually looks like when you stop living for others and start showing up for yourself.
So often, our desire to be wanted or accepted can override our intuition. We romanticize people, situations, or futures that don’t align with our deeper knowing. Veronica opens up about how ignoring her gut led her down messy paths, especially after her divorce. But healing doesn’t always show up the way we expect. For her, it came through leadership training—when she had to learn about herself in order to lead others. That was the turning point.
What I admire most about Veronica is her honesty: she no longer needs a man to tell her she’s beautiful. That might sound simple, but for many women, it’s revolutionary. She's actively choosing herself, every day. Her life is now about her children, her close friends, and a partnership with herself.
This episode is for anyone navigating identity after change; whether it’s divorce, midlife, or just that quiet ache that tells you: something needs to shift. It’s about anchoring into who you are, even if the world around you is still catching up.
And if you’ve ever questioned your gut? Let this be your reminder: it knows.
